the requirements for that game are:
32 MB DirectX 9 compatible video card required
a 8600GT would play that on high settings without any problem at all.

hi kim
this ia a good pci-express card and is ideal for running miscrosoft flight simulator X at some decent frame rates
apart from being a great budget direct x 10 card this also has some good specs including a 540mhz core clock and 512mb of ddr2 memory running at 800mhz,these are average specs and ideal for running most games
it also has a maximum resolution of 1920 X1080 and a 128bit memory bus interface,so high quality at 1280x1024 shouldnt be a problem
for a bit more why not opt for the nVidia GeForce 8800GS 384MB PCI-E(avalible from http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics... is a very good card for its low price and has the basic 8800 architecture, this includes a 575mhz core clock and 384mb of ddr3 memory running at 1700mhz,this has also a 192bit memory bus interface, and this makes this card alot better than the 8600gt but slightly worse than the 8800gts
however as a gaming card this is a solid card with some capable specifications...best sub £100 card bar none
good luck mate !

Yes this graphics card is more than what you need for this game. It will run it fairly decently if you put the setting on medium to medium-high. You did not state how much is your power supply, CPU, and Ram. if you meet the needs on the box then you are fine. You should be able to run the game. If you have an adequate power supply (I would say 300W-500W) then you are fine.

not at high settings.
if you have decided to buy 8600GT then buy the one with GDDR3 memory, it is faster than the DDR2
check the game review in my source, the X850 card that they use in it is equal to the 8600GT DDR2 in terms of performance and they had serious frame rate probs.

not really, unless you call 15fps reasonable!
it depends on the rest of your spec of course but that game really needs quad core and a big chunk of ram to run well on high. if you haven't got the card yet then i would get the 9600GT, you can pick them up for about £110 and they wipe the floor with the 8600.

Thats a good mid-level card. Its not going to give you the power that you will get from an 8800 GTX, but it should work well.

Those specs sound more than adequate for what you want
