the ring ropes and special moves?

how come they don't just stop when they are thrown to the ropes. is the ring just really slippery is that why they don't stop?

also how come they don't run away when they see the other guy getting ready to do a special move? I know I do it all the time on smackdown vs raw on my psp.

Since you've obviously never played WWF on the Sega Genesis Ill spell this out for you. When the other player grabs your character you don't have any control over yourself at that point. You have to keep running from rope to rope untill they hit you.

When they gear up for thier special move the lights get really bright and the opponent is temporarily blinded, hence they don't see the special move coming and can't avoid it.

Spitzer for a good time in '09!!!

The ropes are really tight and they are made of a material similar to a bungee cord. So the rope whips you back the other way.

The reason they don't just get out of the ring is because it is all staged. They aren't really fighting so they just stay there and make it look like they don't expect it.
