Yes there are motherboards with a lot of pcie slots, they are used instead of pci. you cannot put a video card in all of them. They will be different speeds not the 16x a video card would use.

Yes but it is not the ceiling of Crysis's quality needs, I assume you refer to 4 PCIe x16 2.0. Even though as SLI mode the affected cards fall back into x8 mode.

I got 3 pcie slots. But 2 are pcie mini slots used for things like network cards, etc. One is for graphics card. I hate it actually because I need more pci cards then pcie minis.

yes I believe there is a gigabyte board which supports 4 but the driver support is not there from Nvidia yet
