Battle of the New York City Ferries?

Which do you prefer: Circle Line, Sea Streak, or NY Waterway? Which one has no chance of winning over the competition? Who needs improvements and of what kind? What have been your experiences? Please be descriptive in your comparisons... doing research! Thanks!

You forgot about New York Water Taxi and Staten Island Ferry and Governors Island ferry.

I prefer Governors Island Ferry, CircleLine, NY Waterway, Staten Island Ferry, NY Water Taxi.

New York Waterway has free ferry bus for your convience along Downtown, major street 57th, 50th-49th, 42nd and 34th Sts peaks and off-peak 44th-50th St Loop, 42nd-34th St off-peak loop, etc.

New Yorkwaterway commuter I took from Paulus Hook to Pier 79 was wonderful and fast.

CirceLine is only win for tourist because they offer wonderful beast ride from two piers and CircleLine 3-hour cruise.

New York Water Taxi's HopOn Hop Off is another great deal because they have 1 or 2-day Hop On/Off Pass.

Free Staten Island Ferry is wonderful, especially 4-deck levels.

4-decks level are very best for view.

Also, even thought it's crowded, late, but it is wonderful ride.

Free Governors Island ferry is also wonderful when you're going to Governors Island (Opens Summer Weekend) and you could enjoy nice ride on Governors Island Ferry to park.

Well - it is not exactly apples to apples to compare all three.

For example - the NY Waterway has many "commuter" routes while the Circle Line is really only tourist/sight seeing routes.

I think NY Waterway is a top competitor - they have the free crosstown buses to get you to/from either East River or Hudson River. They have also done a lot to improve their landings on both sides of the island.

Sea Streak is probably the bottom of the three - they need to add more routes to really compete.

I prefer the SI Ferry because it's free.
