How do you get someone to stop playing online games all the time?

My signaficant other plays video games all the time. I can barely get him to come to the table to eat. It is the first thing he does in the mornings he doesn't have to go to work and the last thing he does before he goes to bed. He comes home from work and gets on the computer. He gets frustrated with me for trying to talk to him while he is on the computer. I can't get him to do anything (I mean anything) once he starts playing his games. I don't know what to do.

You HAVE to tell him that he is risking losing you if he doesn't start making time for you during the day. It is a habit that he has gotten into that once the cycle is broken for a few days it will be alot easier for him to get out of.... As of now it's all he can think about is picking up where he last left off in the game. I know, I was your husband until I just got tired of doing the same thing all day every day. Now I may play for an hour every other night, sometimes a little longer, but now I have time for my family also. Again you have to tell him that he is risking losing you to this habit. You are not going to be happy just sitting by while he does the same thing every day. You want affection, and you deserve it. He needs to know. Not in a mean or harsh way, just tell him the truth. If he still cares about your relationship, he will change.

Get rid of the computer, or get rid of the guy. Or both. Computer games can be addictive and he is not going to stop playing unless you do something drastic. If he is only into the computer, he is probably not that into you, or any relationship in the real world.

When he's not home, put a block on the sites......or crash the hard drive, or just pull the plug.......
