My dad taught me how to make my own when I was younger. I use ground chuck, ketchup, onions, bell peppers, worchestershire sauce, and lemon juice. It makes the best sloppy joes... good luck.

Sloppy Joe Seasoning Mix
1 tb Instant Minced Onion
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Instant Minced Garlic
1/4 ts Celery Seed
1 ts Green Pepper Flakes
1 ts Cornstarch
1/4 ts Dry Mustard
1/4 ts Chili Powder
Instructions:
Combine all ingredinets in a small bowl until well blended. Spoon mixture
onto a 6-inch square of aluminum foil and fold to make airtight. Label as
Sloppy Joe Seasoning Mix. Store in a cool, dry place and use within 6
months.
Makes 1 package (about 3 T) of mix.
Sloppy Joes: Brown 1 lb lean ground beef in a medium skillet over
medium-high heat. Drain excesss grease. Add sesoning mix, 1/2 cup water,
1 (8 oz) can of tomato sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer
10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over toasted hamburger buns.

Here is the easiest way to make sloppy joes
Ground beef 1 lb
1/2 onion chopped
1/2 bell pepper chopped
salt, pepper
Your favorite barbecue sauce

They do have a dry sloppy joe mix. It is smooth and it's the only flavor in there and it is only chunky if you add stuff to it. It is in the aisle where they have all the dried gravy mixes and stuff like that. I can't think which aisle it is in, but when you go to the store just ask the clerk which aisle are those stuff in. Or perhaps you know already?

hey, girlfriend!! why don't you go get a nice copy of Better Homes & Gardens New CookBook?? It has some terrific recipes in it and all the help in the world on how seasonings work.
Yeah! I had to buy my own also! Everyone in my community thought I could cook so well that I didn't get any cookbooks for wedding presents.

Add one bottle of heinz chili sauce to 1 lb of ground beef. Sold by ketchup products.

Ketchup, Worchestire sauce, yellow mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, horseradish.
That is what I add to mine, if I want them juicy, I add more ketchup, drier I add less. Sometimes I even put in some beer.
