12 weeks 5 days pregnant and bleeding.?
I started bleeding 2 days ago, bright red with big clots, went to the ER and they did a u/s that showed a active healthy appearing fetus with no problems that they could detect.. I bled for 10 hours and slowed to brown with big brown clots now. I went to the ER again today since I still am having the brown bleeding w cramping and they just basically sent me home saying the fetus was growing good and to just stay on bedrest.. It is so frustrating NOT knowing what causes this bleeding and worrying im gonna miscarry. Does anyone have any ideas of what MAY be causing this since the ER has no apparent reason that was detected. I am worrying I will loose this baby in the next few days and im so filled w fear... Help.
No abnormalities were detected on u/s and I have had several contacts w my ob doc, its just that i live in a small town where theres only 3 ob docs.. they are aware of it.

I had a friend that bled throughout her pregnancy. She has a beautiful little girl. Have you spoken to your Obstetrician besides these ER docs? How about asking to speak to one of the nurses in your OB office. They can answer all of your questions to help put your mind at ease. But, if the u/s showed a healthy growing baby, I'd just stay off my feet and keep thinking of that active fetus on the screen. Good luck!

I had similar bleeding with this one. ER was useless. Have you seen your OB? My OB (fortunately) had his own u/s machine, and when I went to see him the next day, it was an issue with my placenta being a little too close to my cervix. Took him 5 minutes to diagnose. ER MD could't figure it out and just sent me home to rest.
Other than that, the baby was fine. 5 days of bedrest, and no bleeding since.
I guess what I'm saying is that ER doctors aren't real specialists, so you should maybe see what your OB says...
Good luck - it's hard to not worry.

Worrying only makes things worse for both you and your baby. I'd relax about it and feel lucky you are having an easy pregnant. I am 15 weeks pregnant have not throw up ONCE, and no cramping. I feel so normal and unpregnant its ridiculous but I just saw the heartbeat last week lol. Its normal to worry. You are nearing the 2nd trimester so the risk of miscarriage has decreased GREATLY, to about 3-5% risk of having one. Just relax things will be fine. Congrats

Im not sure about the bright blood. But I do know that brown blood is old blood. Hopefully thats a good thing. Im so sorry you have to worry like that. I hope everything turns fine for you and you have a nice big healthy baby :)

First of all, stay calm.......please! Stressing is one of the worst things you can do.
Secondly, stay on your bedrest! It's your best friend for continuing with your pregnancy.
Did you get an ultrascan the 2nd time you went to ER? If so, and the baby is ok, then try to relax. Sometimes our bodies do things we don't understand, and trying to understand them only stresses us out.
Good luck hun, keeping my fingers crossed for you!

it could be many things...
i would go to my regular OBGYN ASAP and request an u/sound. could be hematoma, placenta previa, or random bleeding. the fact that the baby looks good is a great sign. miscarriages are extremely rare after 12 weeks.

Maybe placenta previa? I'm not sure, but if that's what it is it's fixable...I hope things go well for you, good luck to you and your baby.
