2 month old napping too much?
She naps for roughly 5 hours a day (usually from 1-3:30, then again from 4:30-7) I feel like this is SO much sleepy time during the day! She never used to nap this much. She's also feeding every 2.5 hours, except at night when she sleeps in a 6 hour stretch and another 2 hour stretch. Growth spurt?
Yes, she's exclusively breastfed.

Pretty much, at that age, she will sleep when she needs to sleep. As long as you aren't concerned that she is ill, she doesn't appear sick, nothing is worrying you and perhaps a quick check at the Dr's to make you feel happier, I wouldn't concern too much.
The sleeping sounds reasonable for a little tiny baby like that, and of course everything changes suddenly when they have a growth spurt.
My son would periodically start falling asleep all the time, and when he woke, he'd eat until he fell asleep again. I always knew I would be buying new clothes soon or that something remarkable was about to happen, like rolling over, sitting up, crawling.
We eventually started getting excited about these tired-times, wondering what he was going to suddenly learn to do next.
To a certain degree, this still happens even though he's five now. When his patterns change, we have come to expect some new change in what or how he does things.

My son is two months old also. All of a sudden he's taking deep long naps about twice a day also. He's also wanting to feed a bit more frequently. He's breasfed. Is your daughter? He sleeps for about 2 four hour stretches at night. Sounds like we both may be experiencing growth spurts.

My 2 month old can't seem to get on a schedule for sleeping, except whenever we get in the car, she sleeps! I tend to run errands during the day and so she sleeps whenever we leave the house, which can be for an hour or many hours. I haven't worried about it so long as she is eating on schedule and sleeping well at night.

Oh, I miss that. Newborns-Infants sleep so much and I think two 2-hour naps a day is just fine. You'll miss them when she cuts back to one.
Good luck!

You should definately let her pediatrician know if this concerns you. It doesn't sound that unusual to me but every baby is different. And do keep in mind that she is still a newborn.
