What is the total cost of Healthcare in the United States?

If you divide the total cost of healthcare by the USA population what is the cost of healthcare per person in the USA?

    It is about 15% of GDP which is 14 trillion dollars and there are about 300 million people. which is about $7000 per person per year.The government already pays for about half.

    In 2004 it was 15.4% of GDP and $6096 per capita.

    This is about twice the developed world average for per capita health care expenditure.

    The question can not be equally divided across the board because of income and distributions of wealth.
