Is there a business opportunity Photoshopping teen girls' pictures?

A survey of Yahoo! Answers shows a high demand among teenage girls for "flawless" pictures of themselves.

Skin made zit-free, hair straightened, eye colour accented, ex-boyfriend deleted, etc.

Many seem desperate. I know they have no money but they may have dad's VISA card.

Is there profit potential here?

TIA

Sure. I suggest hiring a 16 year old to deal with your clients.

Great idea if you can overcome those financial restrictions.

Just make it clear in the advertising how much they will "save" on studio portraits by getting you to do this. That way they have an argument to persuade Dad.

Teenagers have the number one disposable income in Western Society. Tapping into that is a very wise business move.

Getting an image that is good enough to work with might be a challenge though. Also remember that they may expect less than you do, so don't be in too much of a hurry to be a perfectionist and reject something, it may make them happy, and that's what matters.

    (Sorry studio portraitists).

There are actually alot of people on myspace who do this for people. They use paypal and charge around 15/20$ per photo edit.

    Sounds viable to me.

I would gladly edit a photo today for a gallon of gasoline on Thursday.

Yeah, maybe so. The problem I see with it is that you would have to train yourself to "dumb down" your photo edits. Most of what these kids call "great" photos are goofy, ugly, pieces of over photoshopped junk. I would have to totally retrain myself to be able to louse up photos to look like they want.
