One reason it can be easier to be bad is that one might be in a momentum of bad. Looking at one's emotion may also offer an important clue. Suppose one is kinda bouncing between blame and anger on a more or less regular basis for a week or so, it can be too much of a quantum leap to expect to suddenly feel a whole lot of appreciation or joy. In this case doing something bad might just be going along with a thought of revenge (bad). Not necessarily something criminal but maybe just dumping the dirty dishes from one's snack in the sink instead of rinsing them and placing them in the dishwasher which one knows will feel bad for your partner when she sees them. It is not animal instinct, it is just easier from where one happens to be. That is what momentum is based on. However as the service station guy says in the commercial, "Pay me now, or pay me later," like when your engine burns out because you didn't change the oil.

No I'm pretty sure that we all still carry a big of egocentrism and it's easier to see things that we do than it is someone else does. Not that we Can't understand others but we probably understand ourselves and our own actions easier.

Yes. Just like it is always easier to give someone else advice, than it is to do the same things yourself.

Always. It's easier for me to understand what someone else is going through because I'm one step removed.

Boy, isn't that a true statement. If only we could take the advise we get to others huh!
