Admin fee imposed by rental company on toll violation?
I took a rental car from enterprise in 2006 and at that time i accidently did some toll violation. they never contacted me till now, bit suddenly yesterday i received 3-4 letters from enterprise claiming that i ned to pay those toll violations and 15$ admin fee per violation.
Is it fair to send me that bill after approx 17 month?
I could have paid the violation charges, if they have contacted me earlier.

It may have taken that long for the violations to catch the rental car and the rental to catch you.
It's fair IMHO. Pay it.

sorry dude, you been busted. the rental company may not have gotten the bill for the overdue tolls for several months before they sent you a bill also. the car you were driving was probably identified by plate numbers and the state then notified the rental agaency. they may have been giving you some time to pay the tolls, not realizing you knew nothing of them. red tape and paperwork all cost money and take resources away from legitamate companies, so even if they had notified you earlier, they still had costs involved in the process. i am afraid they have every right to expect you to pay for their inconvenience, even many months later. it could be worse, they could have turned you over to the state as the operator of their vehicle during said offence and it could have resulted in many worse fines or perhaps even a loss of your driving priveleges. bad as it seems, i'd pay the fines and the extra costs to the rental company and be done with it rather than refuse and maybe never be able to rent again or be tied up an a law suit over the fees which would result in costing you attorny fees and time lost defending yourself in a no win situation.. most every time i've had to deal with rental companies, i found them to be most fair as they have reputations too and never want a bad report on that record. once again, sorry but i would have to side with the rental agaency in court as a juror. we can't win all of them and i don't blame you at being upset, but they have a point in this case as you did indeed violate the toll rules. ignorance of the law is no excuse for not abiding by it in court. have a great day.

That's perfectly normal and actually a pretty reasonable fee.
I got a speeding camera ticket in a rental car in England last time I was there. The rental company charged me 50 pounds - about $100 - as an admin fee.

You owe the money - you knew when you turned in the car that you had toll violations - had you advised them then, you porbably could have paid the entire bill and been done with it. $15.00 admin fee is nothing. Just pay your debt.

A bank does not have to be Federally regulated. However, it would be difficult to attract deposits if the deposits were not insured by the FDIC, moreover, it would be forced to compete with banks that receive loans from the Fed at lower rates. Since the taxpayers are on the hook, the Federal Reserve regulates the institutions that participate in receiving Federal Funds at below market rates.
