replacing car cd player?

I wana get my indash cd player replaced by a cd/cassette player. Can i do that myself??the wiring,connection n stuff..

or how much should a mechanic ask for that?

Update:

I already have a cd player installed. So I just want to replace the deck..so not a fresh installation.

    if u want to do it urself go to cluthfeild.com . U can buy it and they will tell u how to install it. but if u get someone to do it for u then around 100.00 to in stall it . good luck.

    Go here http://www.metraonline.com/ and get the wiring harness and install kit you'll need.

    The wiring harness plugs intot he factory car harness and is wired up to the new CD palyer harness.
