Can we all stop the arguing for 1 minute to say something to the MEN and Women who?

A good friend of mine passed away three weeks ago. As long as I knew him he walked with a limp and he never offered any explanation for it. It wasn't until his death that most of the people who knew him learned that he was one of the Marines in the invasion of Iwo Jima and was awarded the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts and other citations. One of the men who served with him said it best " Bill was one hell of a Marine". Thank you for giving me the opportunity to say Thank you Bill and thank all of those who served before and after him.

As a Vet, I thank you. Most of all, I Thank the Men and Women who have served and are now serving this great Country. God Bless America.

serves under the flag and

whose coffin is draped by the flag,

Who gives the protestor the right to burn the flag.

Good point to make, thanks for posting it. At first I didn't understand why it was under the elections tab, but I think everybody here needs to sometimes take a break from the hate and remember what we're ALL trying to achieve: a strong, safe, and healthy American with safe, healthy, and happy Americans.

Thanks to those who have served, those who are serving, and those who may likely be called for duty. You are fighting for our freedom to disagree on forums such as this.

Yes, return the favor, bring them home...get them out of the wild goose chase that has no end in sight. I thank the 75% of them who do it because they think it's protecting us...I wouldn't thank those who just want to shoot people, and the mass of enlisted South Americans who've never set foot in America, many probably don't care about America at all. Infact, a lot of them probably hate Americans.

I think we should all stop and thank them. They do the greatest service to this country and yet we all treat them like scum. We are here today, living the good life, because of them.
