Why the Watchtower talks about the grace as " undeserving kindness" and yet they teach?

Grace - mercy, honor, favor.

"Mercy" is forgiveness. Christ taught us from the Alter of the Cross, "Forgive them for they know not what they do".

-We love one another.

"Honor" is presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said. "... when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father...

-We turn to God Almighty and we in turn are honored with the presence of the Holy Spirit in us and through us.

"Favor" - is the Gift of Life. God is Life. We are no longer dead spiritually. Jesus said, "fools and blind: for whether [is] greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

-Thorough Christ Jesus we learn to have life and have it more abundantly.

God's grace is shown in the salvation of sinners. Christian soteriology deals with salvation as the effect of recognition and repentance.

Deserving and undeserving are man made concepts and impositions on the gift of the Grace of God. The Pharisaical leadership of certain groups pronounce judgment. Jesus states, "Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity".

I look at it this way-i'm not a JW btw-

I guess you can compare that logic to a teacher who at the very first day of school told the whole class, 'everybody gets an A'. Afterall, the teacher is being kind to the children. If all children already received an A from the gettgo, what is the point of the teacher teaching the class? and what would be the point of the children doing their homework or listening in class if they already have the A?

See, the teacher gave the children the opportunity for all of them to have that A and yet she continues to teach in hopes that these children can keep that A by their performance or by their hard work shown in class.

In my opinion, and i am sorry if this whole logic thing does not make any sense- it's the same with God. He gave us all a chance to have everlasting life but it is up to us to keep that chance he gave.

RIGHT?? NO? WRONG? oh well. this is my opinion. a JW may have a whole different explanation or logic hehe

The grace of God has been defined as '' God's unmerited

favour.'' The fact that God is gracious is presented in Peter's

statement, ''The God of all grace, who hath called us unto his

eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you''

[ 1Peter 5:10 ] This grace was manifested by our Lord

Jesus Christ and in our salvation [ John 1:17; Titus 2:11 ].

We grasp more of the meaning of grace when we read

Hwbrews 2:9: '' we see Jesus, who was made a little liwer

than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by grace the grace of God should taste

death for every man.''

I guess the real question is, "Do any of us really deserve Grace?" Heck no! I've never had a judge pay my speeding fine, but yet the Judge of the universe has paid our fine just becuase He loves us and wants to spend eternity with us.

1. "Undeserved kindness" is a pretty piss poor definition of Grace.

2. No one deserves it. Period.

3. They don't give opportunities to learn. They only take opportunities to deceive.

romans chapter 2:1:1No matter who you are, if you judge anyone, you have no excuse. When you judge another person, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things.  2We know that God's judgment is right when he condemns people for doing these things.  3When you judge people for doing these things but then do them yourself, do you think you will escape God's judgment?

Who are they to Judge who is deserving or not ? According to this scripture we are not to Judge each other right?

Of course it is undeserved, in that we're imperfect, and clearly Jehovah owes us nothing.

As for "deserving ones", this refers, in part, to those so wishing. Example, would you want to give a steak dinner to a Vegan??

Do you really want an answer or just trying to prove a point? JW's, like other cults, will undoubtedly make statements that contradict others, even statements which contradict clear biblical teaching. Yet they fail to see this because of the influence the organization has on its members and because of the changes they have made in the NWT (their bible) to match their theology.

Each Christian brand including JW make the rules as they play the game...

That's very inconsistent, and this is the supposed literature that's in direct communication with God? Or is it the WT? I can't keep up with all their propaganda.
