Does anyone else hate high heels?
I'm a guy and i hate them!
What suprises me is that the reason for girls give for wearing them is that guys find them attractive (None of my freinds think this is the case at best smoe of them are neutral about the whole thing).
Men have longer legs proportionately than women (look it up).
Long legs are NOT feminine.Heels make your spine look horribly curved and your hips look smaller and makes you look unbalanced and therefore unhealthy and unfit!(and they give health problems)
You can't really hold a girl close to you properly if she's wearing heels and the way she has to move makes everything awkward.
Last of all women evolved to be smaller than men because that's how men like them.
The fashion world is run by gays who idealise masculine women.Straight men don't want a really tall woman with men's legs, men's hips and no body fat!!!
Am i alone in my hatred???

You're not alone. My husband hates them, because he sees so many patients with back, foot and hip problems directly related to footwear.

I like both flats and modest heels. I never go higher than 2 and half inches and I prefer block heels. They're way more comfortable than regular spike heels or stillettos.
It's interesting to hear a guy express his dislike for women wearing high heels. Most of the time when I see a question from a man about heels, they usually complain about not seeing as many women as they would like in high heels or that the heels aren't high enough. Even though I do incorporate heels in my wardrobe, it's nice to see a man give a dissenting view about an item which is considered feminine. Your opinion differs from what most people regard as feminine and attractive, plus you speak about the health issues of wearing heels too much and or too high.

YES!!!!!!!!
I only wear heels if I really have to. . . and I don't even own any of those spiky kind that actually take talent to walk in. I trip over my feet enough when they're flat on the floor! Besides, I'm 5'9" already. . . I don't really need to be the jolly green giant's date or anything.
Biggest mistake in recent years: trying to wear 1" heels for my qualifying exam since that's the minimum supposed to go with what I was wearing (so say the fashion gods). Standing up for 2 hours straight in those shoes hurt like you wouldn't believe after about an hour. And then they kept asking me questions!

I'm not against them, but I'm not for them.
If a woman wants to wear heels, then more power to her!

I like wearing heels (if they're comfortable heels...no thank you to 5 inch shoes!) because they just make me feel prettier. Don't get me wrong...I'm definitely not the type of girl who wears high heels every day (can you say OUCH?), but I do like getting dressed up to go out, and there's just something about high heels that makes me, like most girls, I find, feel pretty. That said, I'm also one of the most clumsy people I know, so I don't wear heels that often because it's just a bad combination.

I only wear heels occasionally because I have tiny feet, and putting all my weight on my toes is uncomfortable. But I do like heels, and I like the way they make my legs look - longer and lean. And my ankles look sexy. I don't think most men dislike the way women look in heels. And a lot of men like it when women look long, lean, and tall - unless they're short and they don't like being shorter than their girlfriend. But I doubt that women evolved to be smaller than men solely because "that's how men like them". That's rather.... chauvinistic of you. And so what if the fashion world is run by gay men? It's not that they idealize masculine women, or even women at all! They like models who are long, straight, and uncurvy because clothes hang better on their bodies and don't detract attention from the clothing itself. Not all men like their women tiny and ultra feminine, though you might. Some men might go for stronger, more "masculine" looking women and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just a matter of taste!

I hate stilletos and agree with you that women wearing them look gawkish and out of proportion. I don't think they look graceful at all when tottering about like clumsy fawns. Their whole bodies can't move as naturally.
I do love small heels, though. They give me just the right shape to look good in office clothes, with a sleek front of body, and actually encourage good posture for me. I can run around in small heels without being awkward. I think I look silly in high heels.

Im totaly with the OP, im also a guy and dispise this kind of footwear. Maybe its related to the fact that i love women beein smaller than me - I prefer the cute natural and honest type. High heels look wierd and fake in my eyes. the whole idea abehind them is to fake high and proportions and I hate to be faked. Whenever I see women wearing them I wonder how uncomfortable they must feel with these weird shoes. Extra minus points if they are open and the toes are sticking out ugh that looks so incredible stupid.
Health issues make it even worse. I work as a personal care assistent and I know how much your feet and your back have to suffer throughout your whole life. Dont make it even worse for them!
Same with make up (if its done to strong) I prefer a clean and cute face to one where the makeup covers everything its terrible for your skin.
I wish more women who hate heels themself would have the courage to just not wear them and stop supporting this fake stereotype. Most of you are very beautifull the way you are even with all your little flaws. Its the cooperations who sell makeup and shoes that want to make you feel inferiour flawed and ugly so you try to compensate for it. If somebody truely loves you he/she will love you the way you are!
If you are a women and like wearing heels for the sake of it go ahead if it makes you feel happy! Just know that there are definately men out there who dont think its sexy ;)

I am now officially in love with you.
I'm tiny, and I look ridiculous in high heels. I also have a weak back, and the high heels are definitely not supportive enough. I hate them!!!!
But the few times I have worn them, guys have all said how hot they look on me, so I think you must be in the minority, much to my disappointment.

I personally don't like to wear high heels. I'm already taller than most of my friends (including guy friends); also, I'm always very active, and I don't want my shoes to slow me down. However, I don't think having long legs is somehow "unfeminine" or that women who like to wear high heels shouldn't. To each her own.

No I dont like them much.
I'm a female and am tall enough I dont need them I'm 5'11"
I never did like wearing them , and I hated if it was something I had to wear them for.
As I was never too steady on my feet growing up because of my health.
Yet I did find them useful in the fact that one saved my life.
I was shoved down on my back while trying to get a way from a guy, As he was going to try something to hurt me. So I just put my leg up as he came down on me and all I remember is hearing him scream then rolling off of me.
He was never the same after that,,, poor guy... but he got what he deserved.

I don't like high heels, but not because of the way they look. Women are often injured because of them, especially when they step on gratings in city sidewalks and the heel catches. They aren't safe to walk in.
While we are on the subject of dangerous clothes, I don't like real neckties either. Sometimes they get caught in fan belts or other parts of machinery and strangle someone. All mine are clip-ons.
Looking good is important, but not worth injury.
