Name me your favorite modern day rock band (with a twist)?

I am starting up The Battle of The Bands Survey again, only this time it is for modern day rock bands only (2000-2008).

What I want you to do is name me your favorite modern day rock or metal band. If your favorite band has already been chosen by another user, then skip it and name me another band that you really like.

    I like Velvet Revolver because they have the best guitarist Slash and still the whole GNR crue except of course Axle. At first I was a bit skeptical that Scott Wielder from STP would be a good lead for them, but after watching them preform live twice they absolutely rock. My favorite band before they broke up was Smashing Pumpkins mainly for the same reason you like Pearl Jam
