    For our desktops we use Ubuntu. It is built on Debian, so it is really stable and the repositories are loaded with lots of different software that can be more difficult to find with other distros.

    I've also enjoyed using Mandriva in the past.

    linux mint its a great ubuntu based distro with added features most others dont have

    I've used ubuntu, but the window borders kept disappearing.

    Mandriva 2008 is pretty good IMO.

    Lots of ubuntu fanboys (and girls) so take your pick.
