Calling all Harry Potter fans who read the last book!!!!!!!! READ the summary and tell me what you think!!!!!!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the last and final book of the Harry Potter series. Harry has finally reached his seventieth birthday and has come off age to set off on a journey to defeat Voldemort once and for all. Hermione and Ron join Harry on an intricate quest to annihilate the last of Voldemort’s Horcruxes. Harry knows that the only way Voldemort can truly be killed is if all the Horcruxes that he made of himself are destroyed. The Durselys, the people Harry lived with, were coerced into hiding so Voldemort’s Death Eaters would not torture them to get information on where Harry is. In addition to that, Hermione took away her parents’ memory and sent them off to a far place so that the Death Eaters cannot find them.

Harry is diseased with many horrors throughout the journey. Harry discovers that Dumbledore has left Harry, Ron, and Hermione some treasures that will help them succeed in every step they take. Harry gets a snitch, Ron gets a deluminator, and Hermione gets a Fairy tale book. Furthermore, throughout the journey Harry becomes overwhelmed with tales of Dumbledore’s past, and starts to wonder if the Headmaster might have had a much gloomy past than he ever displayed.

The three friends’ spirits are often low due to their lack of progress, plan and food. One night Ron and Harry get into a ruthless fight resulting in Ron leaving to go back home. Both Harry and Hermione are shocked to see Ron abandoning them. They decide to go to Godric’s Hallow in search of more clues, while coming face to face with Voldemort. Later Harry realizes that his wand broke during the battle resulting in devastation.

Ron comes back with the help of the deluminator a few weeks later and redeems himself by saving Harry’s life from drowning in the lake. They succeed in destroying another Horcrux with the help of Gryffindor’s sword. Later they begin to learn of the strange three magical objects known as the Deathly Hallows by the help of Hermione’s book given by Dumbledore. Whoever seizes the three objects will be known as the master of death. The three objects were the elder wand, the invisibility cloak, and the Resurrection stone. Harry already possesses the cloak, but he realizes that Voldemort is after the elder wand which was hidden in Dumbledore’s grave.

As the journey becomes though and the danger increases Harry begins to fathom the true reason of what Dumbledore expected him to do. He begins to learn that he, Harry, is also a Horcrux and to truly destroy Voldemort he has to sacrifice himself. Voldemort shoots the killing curse at Harry with the elder wand resulting Harry to go into a trance where he meets Dumbledore. Dumbledore answers many of Harry’s questions, while Harry decides to go back and fight.

Believing that Harry is dead, Voldemort orders Hagrid to carry Harry to Hogwarts to show that the “boy who lived” is finally dead by the works of Lord Voldemort. Everyone is shocked to see Harry, while Neville speaks up and ends up killing Nigini the snake and the battle begins again. Harry finally reveals himself and so the true fight between Harry and Voldemort begins.

At last, it’s all over with Voldemort and Harry with just one single spell shot by Voldemort. Harry is left alive, the true master of the Hallows, while Voldemort is killed for good by his own spell. Harry now recognizes more than ever about love, life, and sacrifice in spite of losing many of his friends during the last epic battle between good and evil.

    OK, a few minor problems:

    "has come off age"

has come of age - of, not off

    "were coerced into hiding"

This is not exactly true. They were persuaded. "Coerced" suggests that someone forced them to hide (i.e. specifically ordered them to hide, under threat), not that someone *scared* them into hiding.

"Harry is diseased with many horrors"

I think the word you want here is "plagued", not "diseased".

    "Fairy"

    fairy (no caps)

"the Headmaster might have had a much gloomy past"

    use "gloomier"

"Ron and Harry get into a ruthless fight"

This is misleading, as it was an argument, not a fight, and was hardly "ruthless" (without any consideration or morals). "heated argument" or "vehement argument" or even "violent argument" is much better than "ruthless fight".

"while coming face to face with Voldemort."

This is poorly (and inappropriately) tagged on to the preceding sentence. End the sentence at "clues", and then start with something like "During this excursion" or "During this investigation" "they briefly encounter Voldemort face to face."

"Later Harry realizes that his wand broke during the battle resulting in devastation."

This is confusing. It makes it sound as if the wand breaking results in devastation. Try something like, "Later, Harry realizes that the brief but devastating battle also caused the breaking of his wand."

"the Deathly Hallows by the help of Hermione’s book given by Dumbledore."

Try "the Deathly Hallows, with the help of the book that Dumbledore bequested to Hermione."

"will be known as the master of death"

I think the important point here was that they would *be* the master of death, regardless of how they are known.

"elder wand, the invisibility cloak, and the Resurrection stone"

Either capitalize all 3 items, or remove caps from all 3.

"which was hidden in Dumbledore’s grave"

Better to say, "which lies unidentified in Dumbledore's grave" or "which, unknown to anyone, was buried with Dumbledore."

    "As the journey becomes though"

You want "tough" here, not "though".

"Harry begins to fathom the true reason of what Dumbledore expected him to do"

Awkward. Try, "Harry begins to fathom the true reason behind what Dumbledore expected him to do" or, even better, "Harry begins to understand why Dumbldore directed him on his current path."

"with the elder wand resulting Harry to go into a trance where he meets Dumbledore"

Both ungrammatical and inaccurate. Dumbly plainly states that HP is dead (but has the choice to return to life). Better would be, "with the elder wand, which sends Harry to the "train station in the sky" where he meets Dumbledore."

    "Nigini"

    Nagini

"Harry finally reveals himself and so "

    Get rid of the "so".

"At last, it’s all over with Voldemort and Harry with just one single spell shot by Voldemort."

Awkward and incorrect. Try, "At last, the struggle (or contention) between Harry and Voldemort is ended with just one single spell from each party."

    "by his own spell"

In light of the previous sentence, I would add "by his own reflected spell".

    I hope this helps.

The Dursley's aren't merely the people Harry lived with. I know the temptation to call them that is strong but they're infact family. The third paragraph from the bottom says "As the journey becomes though[...]." That needs revision. The line "Voldemort shoots[...] resulting Harry to go into a trance where he meets Dumbledore", contains grammatical errors. The snake is called Nagini not Nigini. On the whole it's pretty good. I hope this was the kind of commenting you wanted. By the way, I have great respect that you managed to shrink 700-800 pages into that tiny thing above.

It is his seventeenth.... not seventieth

"annihilate" implies blowing up..... u cant blow up a horcrux...

Dursley family = Harry's only living relatives

    Your tense keeps changing....

You included many unneccesary things..... (i.e. Hermione bewitching her parents)

Maybe u shouldn't call it a fairy tale book.... it was the Tale's of Beedle and Bard, a wizarding childrens book

Ron didn't go home.... he went to Fleur and Bill's

u didn't specify which lake.... so instead of "the" lake, u should say "a" lake

Boy Who Lived is a title and should be capitalized

maybe u could summarize the "Nineteen Years Later" section too....

You got the main points... good job!

I can give you 7th and 6th book details, I guessing you want 6th? That is the one that will be in theaters soon. HP HBP 6th year, Harry gets with Ginny, Ron gets with Lavendar brown, Harry nearly kills Malfoy with the "Sectumsempra" spell, Snape is the Half-Blood Prince, Dumbledore dies, Harry and Dumbledore go into old memories, They find a fake horcrux (supposed to be real, replaced by RAB), Harry has Saturday detentions for the rest of the year after he hurts Malfoy, Angelina gets cursed by the necklace Malfoy gave Madam Rosemerta (under the Imperius curse), Snape kills Dumbledore, Ron is keeper in Quittich, Ginny is chaser, that's all you really need to know....

It's not bad.... but a summary is suppose to give someone an idea of what the book is about without ever reading it, I have read the books and that is why it makes sense to me, but you have to pretend for a moment that you haven't read the book or all the previous books in the series. You made mention of Neville, Nagini, and Hagrid and if someone had not already read the book it would have been very confusing. but for someone who has read the books it was a really good summary of the best series ever written...

Typo at the beginning... It's Harry's seventeenth bday.

Thoughts.... Some mention of Snape being on their side.... and maybe a sentence at the end about the epilogue?

It's a very good summary. However you might want to include what happens after the final battle. Good job though.

It's pretty good, but you didn't mention the trio's visit to Xenophilius Lovegood or Malfoy Manor, and you didn't mention Gringotts or the Room of Requirement.

Will you please answer my question? I would appreciate it ever so much! : ) http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ah1Bb...
