Any place can have bad ppl, it doesn't matter, but i wanna add Cancun is a high touristic place that they would most likely take more safety precautions, security measures are definitely taken into consideration!

uh, no it isn't. And for the guy that said that his friend broke his neck by a big wave there...........the water was pretty calm and serene when I went. Actually, it was much calmer in my opinion than the beaches in California, Florida, and Acapulco. In my opinion, of the four, Cancun has the safest waters. Now Acapulco, thats some crazy waves!

From the U.S. media. Cancun is no more dangerous, and no more safe than Los Angeles, Florida, Texas, Detroit, you name it. It depends on WHERE you go and what you do. Your friends are idiot's.

Are you inquiring about people or water? A friend of mine just broke his neck there from a wave that threw him on the beach?
