can anyone tell me how to raise nightcrawlers?

you have to be carefull with crawlers, there not as tough as red worms,get em too wet, they die, get em too dry, same, the one time i did raise them successfully i had them in an old refrigerator, and i used a mixture of potting soil, river dirt, and peat moss, try to keep them on the north side of a building, to keep them in shade, keep soil mix, lightly damp.

you can feed em, con meal, crushed dog food, things like that, after all they eat dirt.

Several years ago I got hold of an old deep freeze-I took everything off but the door and buried it in the ground, filled the freezer with dirt, and added nightcrawlers-, I was young then, and would put wet newspapers in the freezer along with coffee grounds, ---the reason for the sealed lid is to keep the Moles out--I had crawlers for two years, and my Mom and Dad moved away and took me with them- so I don't know how many years it will work but I know it did for two.
