Is this the ultimate camera?

You point your camera at a scene.

You press a button, and the camera, based on a database of 100,000 of the world's most famous photos, selects the most compelling subject matter.

Then, based on the Rule of Thirds, it composes your picture and records it.

Maybe, if it comes in pink and has a cool name like Rebel and every scene with a flower in it is automatically selective color with a red flower on black and white.

Oh, and can it make peoples eyes their favorite color and does it have a direct link to myspace?

If so then it has some very serious competition!

    ...

"Most of us are happy to take 2D happy snaps with single lens digital cameras. Imagine if you had a digital camera that could more accurately perceive the distance of all objects in its field of vision than your own eyes and brain. That's exactly what a team of researchers from Stanford University are working on — and it could even be affordable for ordinary consumers."

That doesn't necessarily sound like the ultimate camera. It seems more like cheating to a degree, because all of the sudden some joe schmo like me who had to look up rule of thirds can shoot professional pictures on the fly putting down what professionals spent a long time learning.

edit: by the way i hate your famous picture icon. che guevara murdered a people and the spirit of 4 different countries. he got what he deserved in life, but is falsely upheld as a symbol of rebellion in death.

It had better not be running on Windows 95 or you'll have blue-screen-of-death on the LCD screen. Ha.
