“Look down at me and you see a fool; Look up at me and you see a God; Look straight at me and you see yourself
- Charles Manson
So do you see a little Charlie in yourself?
Felonies aside, the man was a genius.

There are a lot of interesting quotes by Charles Manson. Undoubtedly he is somewhat insane, but an interesting, and sometimes inspiring man. I agree with that quote. I could see some of Charles in me.

I thought I would add some more of his quotes.
“I'm probably one of the most dangerous men in the world if I want to be. But I never wanted to be anything but me.” ~C.M.
“A baby is born into this world in a state of fear. Total paranoia and awareness. He sees the world with eyes not used yet. As he grows up, his parents lay all this stuff on him. They tell him, when they should be letting him tell them. Let the children lead you.” ~C.M.
“Everything is beautiful if you want to experience it totally.” ~C.M.
And I will say... "Genius?" Maybe. But these ideas are not original. So what does that say? Anyone who aspires to such ideas is a genius? Maybe.
But what about loving and compassionate? The part of Charles Manson that I do not see within myself is the part that seems to be disgusted with the rest of the world.
“You expect to break me? Impossible! You broke me years ago. You killed me years ago....” ~C.M.
“Remorse for what? You people have done everything in the world to me. Doesn't that give me equal right?” ~C.M.
“I have X'd myself from your world.” ~C.M.
If Charles Manson is a pert of everyone (a reflection), is not the inverse also true? Is not the everyone a part of Charles Manson? So, in truth, didn't Charles Manson really "kill himself years ago..." (etc..)?
How can one X themselves from a world that is a part of themselves? This just screams "detachment" and "separateness."
Sure, he knew the "words" to say, and he probably whole-heartedly believed in those words.
“You are going to use this courtroom to kill me? I am going to fight for my life one way or another. You should let me do it with words.” ~C.M.
But what about the love that transcends words?
That's my two-cents... ;-)

Evil works in cunning and compelling ways. Fascinating even.
Years ago I read the text of the court case... Evil is attractive and sussed, is introspective...seems to come across in a very real way.
Temptation. How do you think it gets to people like us.
Don't be lured.

he is a genius and most geinius' are a bit crazy..... and for the guy who said he cut out the aby - he actually never did anything himself he got others to do it for him (genius) I am not saying at all that I approve of the things he did, but I do agree that he was dangerously smart.... as for seeing a bit of him in myself - to be totally honest - maybe a bit -- i just happen to have the part of my brain working that stops me from actually hurting someone. like when you say damn I could kill her/him for that.. manson had no abilitly or desire to stop himself from acting out on every impulse or feeling he had....

God has been known to speak even through donkeys.
Great quote by an unlikely source.

What a dull fellow. He's been reading too many readers digests in the prison library.

We are all born with God's messages too bad he wasted it on selfish pursuits.
