    I did once, and learned you get what you pay for. That stoop was falling apart by the time they left.

    It is not a cult, but a form of culture, to a certain degree. Don't believe all those "expose of Masons" programs that are shown on tv. While some of the presentation is true, a Mason can tell by the narrator(s) statements that "they know not of where they speak". A Mason is taught not to discuss the Fraternity with a profane (an unknowledgeable person).

    My Father is a Freemason and so are most of my Family so Yes i will become a Freemason.

    Every man comes of his own free will and accord, with his own individual needs and interests. One man may join so that he can associate with other men who believe that only by improving themselves can they hope to improve the world. Another man may join because he is looking for a focus for his charitable inclinations. And yet another may be attracted by a strong sense of history and tradition. Many join simply because they knew a friend or relative who was a freemason and they admired that man’s way of living his life. All who join and become active discover a bond of brotherly affection and a community of mutual support; a practical extension of their own religious and social beliefs.

    Yes. I consider it daily, in fact.

    to some others:

    * it is not a cult

    * there is no consideration of sexual preference in freemasonry

    * why wasn't it for you hiram?

    * why not join?

    NO! I direct the sweeps and strikes of my Marshal trowel in an pre-thought planed manner, to be the most effective with the brick and mortar, and never considered playing mud-pies as a child does.

    Is there no help for the widow's son?

    Yes, I was approached many years ago, looked into it closely and decided it wasn't for me.
