uhmmmm NO. No person has the right to make a demand like that on their spouse. I don't think any decent person WOULD insist something like that. It just shows how insecure and overprotective a wife would be to permanently brand her husband just to show others that he's taken. Isn't a ring enough?

Especially if he's mumbling things under his breath while looking for the hammer.

It is not a good sign! Either he is extremely p*ssed off and discouraged and just wants to get his frustrations out, or he is just taking a minor ding out of the body. Hopefully it is the latter.

Get in the car and GO get the car fixed. It will be much, much cheaper. Now you have to pay the Garage anyway to fix the car and a Hospital bill.
