A good age to begin dying easter eggs?

My kids are 8, 2 1/2, and 1 1/2. Of course, my 8 year old partakes in the dying of the eggs and I was thinking my two year old might be able to start but I'm definitely rethinking that. What age did you start your kids?

I definatley think both of your younger kids can help with the easter egg dying! There's nothing dangerous about it as long as they're supervised & you dont let them drink the dye or vinegar!....just hold their hand, help them dip one egg at a time. Or you dip the eggs in dye and let them put the stickers on it or write on it with the magic crayon, whichever you buy. Dying easter eggs are fun for the whole family! I don't have kids, but by neice & nephew both dyed eggs when they were 1-2 yrs. Have a happy easter!

I think your two younger kids are ready. They can learn their colors while decorating. Put down lots of newspaper and be ready for some mess! Have a fun and Happy Easter!

  • well, im 12, and i started dyeing easter eggs around 2, but if u dont feel comfy w/ that, give the toddler an easier job such as filling the plastic eggs with $, candy, and toys.(with mommy's supervision, of course)

Hmm.. I probably started around 4 or 5 years old.

If you think your two year old is ready, go ahead! =)

Just be prepared to clean up a mess, and to help out if he/she gets a little frustrated.

Good luck, and have a nice Easter!

Im not to sure about dying them with the little ones. Maybe you can buy stickers and markers for the little ones to decorate some eggs with!

For my younger kids..they color eggs with markers, water paint, crayons, glitter glue tubes...until they are 4...and then they can help dye the eggs!
