  • Is there a cars attraction at Walt Disney World?

My son is going on a "Make a Wish" trip to Orlando's Walt Disney World and would love nothing more than to see Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater. Is there an attraction dedicated to Cars?

  • Delayed intensification phase, day one was Friday?

My son is 17 and a half months old and cannot tell me what he is feeling. He has High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and he began his delayed intensification phase yesterday. He had IV push Doxorubicin 25 mg, IV push Vincristine 1.5 mg, and he is now on a twice daily steroid called Decadron. The doctor told me that for the first day he would be pukey and for the following weeks he would be cranky, angry, and needy. True to her word, he threw up all day yesterday and woke up today screaming. I haven't called the Dr. because I don't know if it's the steroid but he's screaming and screaming and nothing is right. He aks for something, I give it to him and he screams. I don't know what to do, how normal is this? It's rather upsetting.

  • A good age to begin dying easter eggs?

My kids are 8, 2 1/2, and 1 1/2. Of course, my 8 year old partakes in the dying of the eggs and I was thinking my two year old might be able to start but I'm definitely rethinking that. What age did you start your kids?

  • Parents of smaller school aged children please answer?

If you were to receive a letter from your child's school stating that a child with severe allergies to a product is in your child's class and your child can not bring items with this ingredient in them, would you comply? Why or why not.

  • A restraining order against someone but you don't know where they live?

My husband's ex is doing some stuff around here... harassing me over the net, stealing my pics and putting captions on them. Telling my best friend that she knows where I live and she's coming. I can't prove the phone calls were her (yet) but kinda a coincidence. She's just really irrational. Anyhow I know her city and state but not her address. Can I still get a restraining order against her?

  • Words of comfort from the bible...?

My son was diagnosed with cancer at 11 months (High risk pre-cursor B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) and I am searching the bible for words of comfort but am finding few (it's a huge book, it will take a while to find a bunch). I am thinking of writing a verse on the calendar every day so I can turn to it when in need. Anyone have some words of strength and encouragement off the tops of their heads? The road is bumpy ahead and it will only get bumpier, he's at an intensification phase in his chemo and I'm scared out of my witts.

  • ARA-C/Cytarabine question?

Can anyone tell me anything about ARA-C. I will ask my son's oncologist all about it when he goes in on Tuesday but I'd like to be prepared. I would especially like to hear from people who have had this med or know someone who has and I'd like to know your individual reactions to this medication.

  • How to host a fund raiser for my 12 month old with ALL?

Last month, my 12 month old was diagnosed with B-Cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. We're still in the hospital but traveling costs, lost time at work, and co-payments are catching up quickly. My friend offered to do some type of fund raiser but doesn't know what to do. Any ideas on what would raise a bit of money in this situation? Thank you in advance. (By the way, he's doing great. His counts are up, he is responding well to chemo, other than some nasty diarrhea no sickness, and his cancer cells are not coming back so far.)

  • Cost of Wilton Method cake decorating classes?

I have to travel 45 minutes to the nearest place that offers cake decorating classes (Joann Fabrics) so before I call long distance I'd like to know how much these courses cost (and I do realize they probably vary a bit by location). But if you've taken these classes can you please tell me which courses and how much (or around how much) the courses cost? I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

  • Does doing acid have an effect on teeth?

My husband used to do acid when he was a teenager and though he's past that now for close to 8 years, his teeth are in bad shape. He went to the dentist on Monday and was told he has to come back next Wednesday to have 4 teeth pulled and have a plate of fake teeth. The dentist asked him if he does meth and of course the answer is no but my husband did not offer the info that he did use acid a lot as a kid. I am wondering if that could have an effect on the progress of the decay?

  • In my attempt to be respectful to Amish people, I am being rude?

At Wal-Mart tonight I was on the phone with my mom and she noticed I was skipping isles and I kept telling her to remind me I needed to go back for split peas or toilet paper etc. She finally asked me why and I said because there were Amish people in the isle and they had small children. She said I was being rude for avoiding them when in all honesty I was not trying to be rude but was avoiding them so they didn't have to look away and their small children would not have to look at me and get into trouble. From what I understand they don't like to look at English people nor do they like their children to. Plus I was not caring what I looked like at the store and was wearing a pair of baggy jeans and a nightmare before christmas t-shirt. Was I rude for avoiding them? It's not like they KNEW I was avoiding them. I was attempting to be respectful.

  • How can I make people aware that my 7 year old have severe peanut/nut allergies at our family reunion?

My husband's side's family reunion is coming up on Saturday and I'm concerned because it's a pot-luck and everyone is bringing something. They sent out a card in our invitations that has the dish we should be bringing on it and ours just so happened to be 5 lbs of peanuts in their shells. My concern is, fruit salads or even chocolate covered items (which sometimes have a peanut butter base) or any other goodies that might contain a nut and I'm not really going to know it until after my daughter has a reaction. I'm of course bringing an epi-pen and everything but how can I make people aware that this kind of needs to be a family awareness thing that they need to let us know what is in the food? I was thinking of buying a button pin and putting on it that it she has peanut/nut allergies and maybe putting a poster board by the food table that has a sign up sheet thing on it "--- dish has nuts in it" any ideas?

  • Myasthenia Gravis?

My grandfather is in the ICU right now and I'm trying to understand this disease. He was having a ten day treatment with a shunt in his chest cavity to filter protein from his blood however the shunt going into his chest caused his heart rate to drop to 30, so the doctor stopped and said he couldn't continue. They are now doing an IV treatment (which I am researching because they did not tell my grandmother what it does and how it does it and what risks are involved.) for 5 days. He cannot eat or swallow anything and he just falls down for no apparant reason. Does anyone know about this disease? I don't think he has this problem, his symptoms don't point to it really. I suppose it could be this disease in combination with another that I believe he has (I think he has Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) but when I told my grandmother to ask them to run tests they said no. Can she make them check him for that? I am really reading everything I can get my hands on and all signs point to PSP.

  • Is it better or easier to use glaze rather than fondant on cookies?

I'm looking for a bit easier way to decorate cookies for my daughter's party and fondant is a bit of a hassle what with the rolling and the cutting and all. Would it still taste good if I were to use a glaze rather than fondant? I would need to color it and I will pipe icing to decorate over the top. Do you have a good glaze recipe that would work well?

  • Questions about fondant and icing?

For my daughter's birthday party I need to cut cost on party favors so I was going to make some sugar cookies and decorate them really pretty and put them in cello bags for the kids. The shapes are crowns, butterflies, and flowers. I want to do a fondant on them and I need a REALLY stiff icing to pipe the decorations on with but I don't have that recipe if you could help me out I'd appreciate it. Also I have never worked with fondant so I need some tips. I do have my great aunt's recipe for fondant so I know it (should) taste yummy. :) Any help would be appreciated thank you!
