Whats the point of life? Whats the big picture?

I'm fifteen, and I'm finding it hard to grasp the point of life. What is there to it? You live. You get married. Have a kid. You die. Is that really all there is to it? Whats the ultimate point in it? One day you're just going to die...and no one will even remember you. And, I'm not saying I'm like "suicidal" or whatever, I just want to know...what the big picture is. There has to be more than this. More than life, right? What is the point of life? I just don't understand it.

Its rubbish being 15. I remember it well. The point of life as I see it is to be happy and try to make others happy as well. Im not sayin that we have to walk around with a smile painted on all the time. I just reckon that we are all here to help each other along the way. We can only know what the good times are if we have felt some bad times cos we'd have nothing to compare it to. Im not tryin to preach or anything. If you believe in life after death then it will be made better by being better in this life. Ive heard people say "Hey this aint a practice run" I reckon thats exactly what it is. A stepping stone to where we will eventually end up. Good luck working it out and try to enjoy it instead of watching it pass you by.

There is no greater point to life.

This is the deal. You're born, you die. The bit in between is called life and its down to you and you alone to make the best of it and make it as comfortable as you can for yourself. At some point you will meet someone and procreate and the cycle starts again. Unless you turn out gay then you cant.

You are at a great stage in your life now. The decisions you make now will determine how you enter adulthood. Will you be one of the idiots who ignores his schoolwork in favour of going out getting p1ssed in bus shelters. More often than not that will lead you to more bad times than good. But is the easiest option. Or will you keep your head down, stay away from the losers, do your level best and achieve something? This is the hardest way but has the greater rewards in the long term.

Go and ask Mr and Miss unemployed alcoholic dole dosser what they did in their teens. (Hang around outside the Jeremy Kyle studio for a bit and you will bump into one or two) Then go and find someone who has made a success of their lives the same question. I think you will find their answers differ somewhat. Now decide which of the two sets of people you want to be like.

Life itself is pretty pointless. But, Your here, so you might as well make the best of it.

The point of life is to live it.

Every decision you make and every word you say impacts the life of others and this world as a whole.

We have a creator. He designed this existence to be a certain way. He also has empowered you with the ability to choose what you want. So right here you have a great big choice. Once you get past that, then go to the next choice.

It's really simple. Not easy but simple.

I'm 15 to, gonna be 16 in less then 2 weeks, and you have to find the point in life. The point of life is to live how you want to, to be what religion to be and to follow your dreams, there is so much more to it then get married have kids and then die, of course everyone will die one day, but you just have one life. I have found the point of life is to follow your dreams, be the best you can be and have fun. God put us all here for a purpose, you have to find whats important to you in your life, live it to the fullest and be who you wanna be. If you want to be remembered, do something great with your life, or else just enjoy it and much as you can while you can. do u get what i'm saying? Life is what you make it....its yours to live

    No, hon, there's MORE.

You'll discover this one day. THAT is the whole point of life--it's self discovery.

After all, if everyone had all the answers you seek, then life would be such a dull right?

I asked those same questions myself when I was younger, but I realize there HAS to be more, and it's up to ourselves to find out as much as we can and do as much as we can before we leave this world.

After all, you are the one grasping the brush to paint out your life. Paint the canvas however you see fit.

Life has no meaning beyond the one you give it. You make the meaning. If you go into it with the attitude you have expressed in this question, you won't get much out of it. The meaning for everyone's life is different, that's why it is one of the great philisophical questions. The meaning for my life (to help the world's animals through veterinary medicine) may not have any meaning for yours.

Well when you get married and have a kid you probably will understand that not only is that all there is to it, but it's actually worth living for.

i ask God that same question the other day. he showed me why i am here. i still cant see the big picture but i can still see my small part in life.

its kinda like this huge rug, your only one thread but you connect with other threads and they connect to even more. it may not seem like you got the main part but if you weren't there the whole rug would fall apart.

    You're overcomplicating it...

The point of life is to live...everything else comes after that. The source of life is within.

    Peace
