Flash Bulb and Eye Damage.?

While I was sleeping, someone put a camera flash up to my eye and pressed the button, can this damage my eye? my eye was closed obviously, but it did get really bright, like when the sun is bright when you have your eyes closed.

    No, don't worry it won't have caused any damage. Even though the light was bright, it wasn't bright enough to cause any permanent damage.
