where're the best places to visit in france and italy?

It’s too difficult to sum up the sights and the beauties of this two countries.

It depends on what do you look for and how do you want to visit them.

J’aime la France and amo l’Italia. I recommend you to go round with a car.

Sure, that you’ve never been to Paris and Rome, you must go there cause they’re beautiful.

But also Brittany and Normandy both with charming cliffs and lighthouses but with two different histories: King Arthur,Merlin the Wizard and the Druids vs the D-Day.

The south of Brittany where the temperature is more mild than north with its cities like Quimper, Carnac, Vannes. The castles by the side of Loira river where lived Leonardo Da Vinci too.

The vineyards all over the country from east to west.

Not far from Clermont-Ferrand there is a land with ancient volcanos; from there you can go till the Atlantic ocean going through the Prehistory in Aquitaine arriving at Dune du Pilat (a sand dune long three kms and hight 100 mt that divided the Atlantic from the pine forest) to the south of Arcachon. The south of France with Carcassone, one of the best preserved medieval city in Europe.

In Provence to see the Roman ruins like Pont du Gard: an aqueduct built up on three level.

Lyon, Nancy, Strasbourg and more.

There is a charming village named Briare where there is a suspended ship canal over the Loira River: the longest in the world with its 662,68 mt.

Also in Italy there is a variety of places to see: Venice is wonderfull with its little Calle (street) and its bridges, the Church of St Marc and its splendid mosaics like Ravenna, the ancient capital of West Empire. In eastern Liguria there is Five Lands (5 terre) a wonderfull walk in the nature over the sea, five miles of rocky coast with kilometres of dry walling cultivated into vineyards and five charming villages. The Lake Region in the north of Italy. Pisa and its enchanting lace of Miracle Square. The region of Umbria with Gubbio and Assisi, city of St. Francesco.

If you like the history in the south there are the ruins of Pompei, Ercolano, Paestum.

In Apulia there is the beautiful village of Alberobello with its TRULLI, but also the Apulian country with olive trees. Sicily is amazing. And then all the ancient roman ways all over the Italy.

But if you want to see The France and The Italy you should visit them opening a guide at random and enjoy yourself!

If you've never been to France and don't plan on going back after this trip, I would say that you have to see Paris. If you have lots of time, branch out and see Toulouse and Carcasonne. Spend some time on the beaches of Biarritz (Nice is nice [haha], but the beaches there are stoney—Biarritz is better). Take in a course camarguaise and Roman ruins in Arles.

Sadly, I've never been to Italy and can't help you there.

You cannot miss Paris. If you've got more time, go to Normandy/Brittany and the Loire Valley. The Loire Valley has some of the most stunning castles in the world:Chenonceau, Chambord etc.

In Italy, you have to go to Rome. Pompeii and Florence are also really cool.
