Camera brand for windows live messenger?

I have a General Electric webcam (I bought it at target) and I want to buy another one to chat on Windows Live Meesenger. Which brand would you recommend me? I want a clear image. Are Microsot lifecams good?

My other question is: Should I need to uninstall the GE webcam driver before instlling another webcam?

I've always been partial to Logitech webcams. They've been around for a long time, have good support before and after the sale, and quality is excellent (IMO) even for the lower priced cams.

But in reading the Microsoft specs for their LifeCams, they seem to be pretty decent, too. On the plus side for the LifeCam is the NX-6000. It's a portable webcam, 7.6MP still photos, 2.0MP video, 3X zoom, has an integrated microphone, and a wide angle lens. Not a bad package for about $40. and it's designed specifically for Windows XP and Vista so drivers won't be a problem.

Speaking of drivers, it's not necessary to uninstall the GE driver. It just sits in the background not doing anything until such time you plug in the GE webcam again. In fact, XP and Vista operating systems come from the factory with many drivers pre-installed for common items like printers, digital cameras, scanners, etc.
