Big sleeper, your deeper, too deep for me?

Speak clearer

Can't hear you

I'm going under

Was there ever a song where you just couldn't understand the lyrics and interpret them, no matter how hard you tried? And you just can't tell if it's too deep for you or it was never meant to be understood?

What song?

I'll give 20 Bucks to the first Person who can even tell Me what the lyrics of "Carouselambra" even SAY, much less mean.

i'm going with 98% of anything The Mars Volta has written.

Definitely not made to be understood and interpretted. the music is much to awesome to need the words to be sensible.

If you should see the dice,

Charmed with it's snaked choked eyes

    You'll wear the widows weeds

    Because they're just your size

    Behind the snail secretion,

Leaves a dry heave that absorbs

    A limbless procreation,

    Let the infant crawled deformed

A bag replaced the breath of these suffocating sheets

And now when the craving calls

    I'll scratch my itchy teeth

(also ... a nod to the Chloroform lyrics)

If he is falling off the same arm each time, I would put a pillow or folded up blanket below just to cushion the impact. He will eventually figure out that the seat of the recliner makes a much better bed.. Does he have his own cat bed? If so, you might want to move him from the arm of the recliner to the bed or couch or seat of recliner after he's been asleep for about 15 min. If you are very gentle he will not even notice. I would also mention this to the vet at the next visit.

Just about every Pink Floyd song. Even the instrumental ones like A Saucerful of Secrets. It really is a secret because I cannot understand it the slightest. I love the song especially the Pompeii version but I have no idea what it is about. Also Terminal Frost makes absolutely no sense; I can't understand the title.

"Changing Of The Guards" Bob Dylan - off of "Street Legal"

Can't say I don't understand it but I cannot explain it. Only know it on an ethereal level. When the album first came out I was asked to do a review of it and the words were not available. I had to listen to it about 100 times (on a record player!) to get the words, then the understanding probably took another 100 times or so.

    EDIT : ) Here's the first verse : )

"Sixteen years, sixteen banners united over the field

    where the good shepherd grieves.

    Desperate men, desperate women divided,

spreading their wings 'neath the falling leaves."

Several Bob Dylan songs use to escape me. I came up with my own meanings for them though, not really caring if that's what he meant by them or not.

The first time I heard Subterranean Homesick Blues I was a bit confused. Some lines made perfect sense ("You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows"), but other lines left me scratching my head ("Get sick, get well hang around a ink well. Ring bell, hard to tell if anything is goin' to sell. Try hard, get barred, get back, write braille...") What the heck is that suppose to mean?

Edit: Looking at the other answers, that's 3 now for Bob Dylan songs...LOL

All the time. Like with Iron & Wine's Evening On The Ground:

    So You Will Blame Me

    Blame Me For The Rocks

And Baby Bones And Broken Lock

    On The Garden

    Garden Wall Of Eden

    For The Spider Bites

And All Your Love As We Were

Makes no sense to me, and I don't know if that's just because I'm too dumb to get it or if its just really really cryptic.

That would be anything put out by The Deftones. It's very challenging to understand a word of what Chino is saying or singing, depending on the track. Also, their lyrics, while interesting, are mostly nonsensical products of an addled mind. Yet, it all seems to work because they're very unique.

the one that stands out for me is smells like teen spirit by nirvana...i think the song might never have been meant to be understood, the only thing i can come up with is that it's about confusion because the lyrics seem totally unrelated and disconnected

twist by korn. me and a friend used to play this song over and over in my room and laugh uncontrollably. this was back in high school day's and i never liked the band but thought the song was funny. i don't think it was meant to be deep but just proved that the guys in korn are total retards

"Mr. Tambourine Man" by: Bob Dylan

AMAZING song! I don't understand it and I don't think I want to. You know how there are some songs that are just better not knowing what the heck it's about?
