Apparently it's a "glitch". I've seen on the Y!A Suggestion Message Board that they're attempting to address the issue, but it seems that progress is slow-going.

As you can see, the problem existed AT LEAST 2 months ago.

getting two violations must have been a mistake, but you have to get used to violations if you want to tell the truth on here, I have been reported quite a few times for my questions, but it just proves to me that the ignorance and arrogance I speak of is rampant within the closed minds of some
don't let it worry you too much, points are just points, but it is the point you make that is important.
EDIT: just a thought; if six people reported your questions, 3 saying it was "offensive" and 3 saying "its against the rules" it is possible you could receive two violations for the same question.

Dear C.A., IF you were inquiring about the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or the What Should I do Retard, you'd be sure to get a violation-or two. But people seem to get away with questions about "Jebus"; don't ask me why."Buk" ( a name) seems to be considered blasphemous, but you can say
"feck" and "vagina" with no problem. Of course I did not report you. I HATE getting reported for nothing, but it happens every now and then to all of us.

It is a programming bug they can't fix. Just appeal and point out the double point reduction. They will give the overage back.

I honestly have no idea, but I do know that Yahoo! has been on the fritz since last October.

That's funny, one of my IRL friends just had the same thing happen. Yahoo! has lost it.

I've had the same problem. Unfortunately, the moderators didn't even respond to my appeal. I hope yours goes better.
