Has anybody seen "Mommie Dearest"?

my mom was that bad, she's sick . now that I'm older i realize she should be on meds and it WAS'NT my fault.....thank you dr eric thank you!!!!!

Wow... I just put in a package to my sister, who's overseas, a copy of "Mommie Dearest", because she cannot find it where she's at and some of her friends want to see it.

I also have a copy and I watched it a few times...

Yes, that's real; and real events lived by her and her little brother under the same roof with their mother, Joan Crawford.

Everything was taboo back then, all hush-hush, otherwise Joan Crawford would of been in prison for Child Abuse...

It is just incredible what an adult would do to a child. Just... Speechless.

But incredible is the outstanding performance by Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford. She was nominated for the Oscar as Best Actress that year, but she didn't win. Too bad. She was excellent.

Last week I found out my husband was beat by his mom with a wire hanger. We have been married for 15 years. How sad is that? He was also beat with wet towels and her hands. What a bitc* to knock her kid on his butt when he is 7 years old for getting out of bed in the morning and asking if they are going to Sunday School. I never liked her before. Now I just plain old don't respect her.

Yes, amazing Film. Easily Eastwood's best Film in a decade. Just an excellent Movie, I highly recommend.

That movie left me disturbed for awhile. I saw it when I was like 5 years old. I still remember the wire hanger scene.

Yes. It s really terrible when Joan Crawford hits her poor daughter Christina, with the wire hanger.....i prefer not to remember that movie... it brings to me awful memories...

Nah. I can't watch movies like that. I'd probably punch a hole right through the TV Screen and choke her with that wire hanger.

I love it when she goes all psycho and scrubs the bathroom floor with Comet-type cleanser and a tooth brush. I knew a woman that was about as cuckoo as Joan Crawford. She used to scrub the kitchen floor until her hands bled. You got more going on than dirty linoleum when you're scrubbing until you bleed, honey.

I've seen that movie and I have never known anyone as crazy as her.

I've seen it. I'm glad I know nobody like this. Of course she kept her behavior a secret to the world.
