Suave is not in anyway a good shampoo for maintaining color treated hair. If you are spending the money for the coloring, you really should invest in salon-quality hair care. Try Joico Kpak Reconstructor after you shampoo and condition. It will help reduce breakage, restore your hair's health, and help your hair hold color better. When you are washing your hair in cold water, it is keeping the cuticle closed so that the color can't escape the hair shaft. The reconstructor also has the same action of closing the cuticle. I know you didn't ask for it, but I would recommend Back-to-Basics Raspberry Almond Repairative Shampoo and Conditioner. This will repair breakage, and maintain your hair color. Plus, it smells sooooo good!
