When it comes to questions here is "silliness = hatefulness"?
I (and many of my contacts) ask some silly questions, just to lighten the mood here, yet the get deleted and/or many mean answers (like "your gonna burn in hell")
So I am wondering; when someone post a silly question do some of you see that as being hateful and report it.
Does silliness offend you?

No i don't report anymore. In the past i only reported things that i knew to be false propaganda, but, for the most part i usually let it go for my own sanity.
Sometimes i do see questions that i think are disrespectful. I just don't go there, it is that simple, just pass it by, don't feed the trolls, don't humor the idiots........
And i do appreciate the humor as long as its undertones are not mean-spirited, or of a blasphemous nature. Most of the time I am not serious.
but with the elementary mentality that is so pervasive on this site you just have to be very discerning with the questions you choose.
Most of my contacts are funny without being hateful. I really appreciate their humor.

I admit what some see as silly I see as offensive. I'm sick of jokes about using the Bible for toilet paper, or having a bowel movement that looks like the Virgin Mary and selling it on Ebay.
If there's no intent to offend hidden behind the silliness, then it's fun.

No silliness doesn't offend me. I think we could use more of it here in r&s. I don't see silliness being hateful nor do I see the need to report it.

I know you're being silly. I also know some people who do this are indeed being hateful.
Silliness does not offend me. I love it. Lord knows, we need some of it around here.

I only get offended if it is mean silliness. My dad once told me to always remember that not everyone has my sense of humor. That was very good advise.

So you say. But face it- some questions that are posted in here are "masked" as being "silly" and are themselves dripping with hatred and contempt for people of religious faith.
You qualify your true intent by the choice of words you make, and some people just get right to the core of the matter, and see past the claim of "just being silly". Don't complain because Christians and others draw this obvious and intended inference.

Queenie, being a yellow, paper chicken, I love silly questions!
I avoid the "hate spewing" questions like the plague! From ALL sides.

It's a travesty I tell ya. Maybe they just think that your questions are way beyond the understanding of the average user of this site and of their own understanding. That's what I think anyway.
