Well I think it will be a good investment. This kid has been compared to Manny Ramirez for good reason. He drives in runs, hits for average, and hits for power. He's an excellent offensive player and he's very young. Even when he was fat last year he still had amazing numbers. He hit .320, had 119 RBI's, and 34 homers, with an OBP of .401 and he was out of shape. That's amazing if you ask me. He's worth it. Hopefully for them he won't be Cabrera being Cabrera like Manny is being Manny over in Boston with the wierd antics.

Yessss,Georgie!! We got a stud to add to Magglio,Carlos,Pudge,Placido,Sheff,Renty and Grandy! Alot of people will think this a bargain(compared to A-Rod),when Cabrera starts joltin' the fences at the CoPa! 2008 will bring our Tigers some interesting games for our fans(alotta sell-out crowds at Comerica!) Dombrowski is a genius!-Hope our bullpen can do better-maybe a trade is in the works.Dombrowski might have one cooking now.I can't wait for opening day!

I am totally geeked that GP is back on Y/A! As for Cabrera, well I'd rather he be on your AL team than, say, the White Sox.

  • 1 decade ago

No, the White Sox are gonna have trouble for the next 8 YEARS against the Tigers which CANNOT happen!

    Glad you're back!

I think it's greattttttttt the tigers are gonna be the team to beat in 08.I'm looking foward to the yankees and tigers 1st game.

Even though i am a yankee fan, i think the addition of wills and cabrera was great. They made some great moves

It really is a great move for your Tigers. The minute I heard that I thought of you.

I think this is a good deal because he will probably be worth more than that in eight years.

That said they need to have a weight/performance clause to keep his weight in line, because that can have significant impact on both his performance and longevity (i.e. if he is fat his knees could not last).
