would you rather hear a believable lie or an unforgivable truth?

I just saw this question ,and i saw one answer that stood out which was --- "Lie, I am a coward" answered by Danielle G. Looking back at all the answers i have seen on this board Danielle G gave the best answer i have seen yet , Mine Included . Sometimes the truth is Just un-acceptable because it burns into our very being ---so to speak --- How many agree with this thought . Truth please !!

    Danielle's answer was truthful.

I am extremely honest. I am also very blunt.

I've been hurt by the truth many times but I would much rather be hurt than be be lied to.

The worse hurt is finding out you have been lied to.

i'd rather hear the unforgivable truth b/c eventually the truth will come out. so why not make it easier on yourself and the other person and get it out in the open. one thing i've learned is if you tell one lie you've got to tell 10 more just to cover up that one. and then u have to deal with living behind the mask of guilt and sometimes shame. so just do you and the everyone else a favor and tell the truth from the beginning. the truth shall make u free.

I personnally would much rather hear the truth inspite of what it may do or feel to me. The truth will stand. In the newspaper this A.M. was an article about a man that spent 1/2 of his life in prison for telling the truth, someelse had lied about him, that sent him to jail. He did his time witha clear concsience and has not regrets or bitterness towards the man that lied about him. He get an education and helped many that were in the jail with them givingthem hope of a better life when they should return to society. Truth may hurt, but it always wins and brings freedom of mind and soul!

It is never right to lie under any circumstances... many fall short (including myself) and lie to save face, someones feelings, prevent an argument etc... but lies have a way of always finding you out, and all lies are seen and heard by God, as nothing is hidden from Him.

Where ever possible, it is always best to tell the truth, however painful it may be to speak, and to hear... one just needs to be able to choose ones words carefully, and speak in love.

Always tell the truth. Because the Truth will set you free. When you lie you have to keep covering up with another lie, and it keeps growing. Lies hurt people in the end.

Some indian scriptures made certain suggestions on being adhered to TRUTH. (at times burns more than fire).

' Speak Truth but speak-not if it brings death instantly, if it is not palatable for others maintain silence; during marriages certain concession granted'. Truth lies in not mere speaking but in thinking and doing also. The righteousness and Truth are to be followed in thinking and doing and speaking with few rare marginal exceptions.

tell the truth because when you lie you have to keep building bigger lies to cover the last lie that was told..the truth hurts sometimes but in the long run it is always the best and only way to go

I think we all 'want' to believe in a lie - after all, it can be much easier to swallow than the truth. But in the long run, if we believe the truth (whether it hurts, or not) - we are much better off for it.

I would rather be a part of the truth. Lies are sin, sin is not of God, why would I want to trade God for sin?
