Question about taking guns into Canada?

My Uncle is moving from Pennsylvannia to Alaska, he has a box trailer that he is hauling with him with his belonings and guns. Does he have to register the guns with Canada or some sort of other deal, he just does not want to get in trouble or if for some reason he should get stoped or at the border. So basically what are the legalities of traveling through Canada with them

Update:

Thanks everyone that helped.

Contact the Canadian Firearms Center. This is the official government organization responsible for firearms. They can tell you everything you will need.
