Puppy pees just a drop?

My 11-week puppy is still going through housebreaking. She hasn't been doing as good lately, but she's still young.

But the problem is sometimes she will just pee a drop. It's not even worth it to rush her outside.

Why would she do this? She's good and healthy, and has another vet appt this weekend - not for this problem just a checkup (but I probably will ask).

Any suggestions?

Update:

Trust me lol, she doesn't have problems going. Most of the time is as good as it gets.

Just occasionally.

I hope it's right that she's learning. I'll start taking her out when she does it.

Our puppy (now almost 5 months) would do that in the house when excited and playing with us. We were told that when puppies get over excited (or scared) they forget to hold it and it just comes out. Once they start going, they realize what they are doing and can regain control. We would see him do this and then bring him outside wherehe'd finish.

Of course, we then had the testing period when we were giving him treats for going potty outside. He would go out and do a drop the size of a dime and then 10-15 minutes later he was at the door to go a little bit more. There were nights when he was at the door 5-7 times within an hour. We asked the vet about it and she said it's one of three things:

    1) Bo was testing to see if he'd really get a treat each time he went to the bathroom outside,

    2) Bo KNEW he'd get s treat each time and was miling it to get more treats.

    3) He saw how happy we were when he went pee outside so he was trying to make himself pee to please us.

In the past week or so, the little drips around the house that were happening 3-4 times a day is down to once every couple days. Just watch him, if he's sniffing around try bring him out. We've noticed that when his tail stops wagging and just points out straight that's when we better get him outside.

Its probably nothing to worry about. My new puppy (about 12weeks old) she'll go pee about 3-4 times when we take her out. She'll just go a little here and a little there lol. As they get older, they'll go more at one time. But it wouldn't hurt to ask the vet to make sure everything is OK with her bladder and kidneys. Good Luck!

She could be scared or be catching on that she shouldnt be peeing in the house. My puppy did this when we were training him. Take her outside if you see her doing it and see if she finishes. And I would also ask your vet just in case there is a problem with her bladder, but puppies have a hard time controling thier bladder and bowls that young.

u should take her to the vet and let them check her problems and see if she has a hard problem going to the bathroom :)

    possible urinary tract infection?

I used to have a girl that would mark every three ft. and after the third time she would just drip-lol.

your dog probably just has a tiny bladder (not a bad thing !!!!)

becuase its a puppy you should watch it to see how much water it drinks
