how do I do x/-2+y/2>1?

I have to sketch the graph of linear inequality.

    Multiply by 2, to get rid of the fractions:

    -x +y >2

    y> x +2

    Make a dashed line (indicates point on the line don't count)

    Line goes through (0,2), (1,3), (2,4) etc.

    Since y is greater than all the points on the line, you shade everything above the line.
