Any comments on Internet School Penn Foster, or suggest one...?
I am in need of getting certified as an Interior Decorator and am comtemplating using Penn Foster, an Internet collage, to obtain this certification. The fee seems reasonable and they tell me it would take 6 months and would include a paid professional membership upon completion of the certification exam. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions before I do this. Thank you so much for your input.

I am currently attending penn foster for the vet tech program. I have had no problems at all. I have received all of my books in a timely manor and when I call student services they are very helpful. I am currently looking into taking the travel agent dipolma course. Goodluck

Well, it may sound glamorous, but I don't live in the states and I applied for a course on Day Care Proffessional (Nursery School teacher), and they ripped me off. The thing is, I paid all my money at once and they sent me the first two books. That was all I got. To be fair to them, they did give me a web page that could study from, but being in a place where internet access is still quite expensive, I pleaded with them to send me the rest of the books, since I couldn't afford using the internet. My pleas fell on deaf ears, and after a year of silence they sent me a letter saying my account had been shut down and if I wanted to finish the course I could pay 75 more dollars! Well, I told them they were crooks, but unfortunately I could not seek redress. I hear their certificate is worthless in the States by the way. This is not just a fact inspired out of hate.

I didn't personally go to Penn Foster but you can check out reviews by students who have at www.GuideToOnlineSchools.com/online_college_reviews.htm. It might give you a better idea of what the experience is like.
