If something is on sale for "Buy 4, Get 4 Free", do you buy 8 even if you only need 1?

Depends what the something is and how much just one costs, if I use it often or know someone that could use some then yes I'd buy it (if I had the extra money) if it's something I rarely use then I see no reason to buy 8 if they would go bad before they had a chance to be used...that's like throwing money away.

Yes, of course :) The others can always be put away for later use when you actually do need them
