Windows Mail - 'synchronize all' command under tools - what does it do?

Using the standard Windows Mail in Vista, there is a command under Tools called Synchronize All. There seems to be no info on what it does or how to use it. Does it sync contacts? Messages with some other service? How do you set it up? Grateful for any clues (- but please don't guess!)

    It synchronizes all mail accounts (if you have more than one.)
