Why is this section over-run with "spiritually speaking" questions?

Oh Rachel, you are my kindred spirit. I asked this question about a week ago.

I miss the old days of R&S as well. But it's gotten considerably better lately, actually. I haven't seen any R&S marriage questions in a hot minute.

Spiritually speaking, it's so we can ask a question that might be on shaky ground as far as Y!A and the report monkeys are concerned. It seems silly, but it usually works.

And there are some people who still care about violation notices. I think most of us figure that any given account is on borrowed time if you participate in this Forum often, but there are those who just don't like getting VN's.

Who says hotdogs aren't spiritual?

Unless you have an issue with Discordians? Let me guess... "why are Discordians here, this is R&S"? Right? As an ordained pope of Discordia... I resent your attitude.

The only time it bothers me is when it prevents the full question from being asked in the header, and that's more an issue of my own personal quirks I think. I get frustrated when a question doesn't fit in the header for some reason. If it's a question that would have fit if the asker hadn't added "spiritually speaking" I get doubly annoyed.

I don't eat hot dogs.

To understand this you have to go back a ways, and understand that R&S regulars like to post on this section because that is where their friends and contacts are.

and in doing this they ask questions that are not in the basic sense spiritual, and were getting post like "this is not a spiritual question" or "why are you posting this in R&S?"

So to make it seem to fit into the R&S format they started adding "spiritually speaking"

this lead to others asking "Spiritually Speaking" questions for fun, and hence the escalation.

And to mock the Yahoo Violators.

I do it to actually annoy the people that report me.

I honestly don't care when silly questions of mine get reported. It gets annoying when serious, well-though out questions, with over 40 stars get deleted, simply because 2 bozos took offense. Or 2 bozos just wanna be clowns.

At this point I don't care anymore what anybody thinks. And anything goes to simply annoy the report trolls.

Yeah, I have no idea why people are posting questions like that. For real: what does spirituality and hot dogs have in common? Lol Go figure, but if you find the answer to that one, let me know!

I look at it as tongue-in-cheek rebellion against the Yamster, as if it is saying "I know this really has nothing to do with spirituality, but I wanted to throw an extra dig in at the overlords".

To me, it's about defiance of the rules.

Anyone who asks a question about hotdogs in a religious blog has religious issues. Perhaps they will find the answer while it can reward their life.
