ink replacement???

Printer:Brother 240C

Type: Inkjet

Problem: It kept telling me to replace Black Ink. My Ink is FULL. Even though I put a new one in it still say ink cartridge empty. I'm getting frustrated. Any help/advs???

    Well I looked up your model and the printhead is built into the cartridge. The only thing I can think of is possibly the locking mechanism isn't holding it right or the electronic sensors or cable is bad. They are probably on the board. It might be time for a new printer.
