I would say yes. Not only one but many. Don't believe me, do a cross check between an Oxford Dictionary and a Webster Dictionary e.g.
colour color
flavour flavor
hullo hello
cheque check
tyre tire
jail goal
EDIT
With English English being the original any other variation of the spelling of a particular word is therefore incorrect. Over time these variations have become acceptable, not necessarily right, but acceptable.

if there is a wrongly spelled word in the dictionary? whoa! that's off as before a dictionary's release, it has been proofread many times by competent individuals.
you may cross-check it with numerous other dictionaries though. like what we do when we want to be very sure of a doctor's diagnosis, we get a second opinion from a different doctor.
as for papa chuck's observation, the difference lies in american english versus british english spellings.
some examples (the first is american english while the second one is british english):
defense vs defence
favorite vs favourite
center vs centre
note:
Yahoo's spellchecker uses american english
Source(s): i learned about american versus british english from my reading of various books since i was 8 i double-checked it for you too in these sites: http://www2.gsu.edu/~wwwesl/egw/jones/differences.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_and_British_... - 1 decade ago
As far as I knew, dictionaries are written by knowledgeable and talented people known as lexicographers. They are paid well so they do their job carefully, accurately and precisely so there is no room for mistakes. Besides, making dictionaries is not a work of a single person but a team of well educated people so, I would say, all words in the dictionaries are correct.

I doubt if there is a single word misspelled in the dictionary. It's the dictionary that teaches you how to spell, so how come?

Many years ago a 115 words were misspelled and now it is not likely to happen since they have auto-spell check in the program they use for typing the dictionary/

Yes. Lots of words if we will refer them from their word of origin. However, they became acceptable when they were written in the dictionary which is the basis of word spelling.

I've never encountered yet. There is a big reward from the publisher, if you ever find a typographical error in an encyclopedia or dictionary.

Chances are highly improbable, maybe non existent. However, take note that there are a lot of variations on how some words are spelled.

probably you don't detect it. Due to fatal errors it could happen but they will fix it before it can print the whole drama to Mr Dictionary.

i think if you're familiar with the misspelled word, you would know then, or if you happen to use it and someone says it was misspelled.
