I have been away for months and I have over 6000 messages in my mail.?

Most of them are out-dated, so how do I delete them without having to click on each one all the way down the page and them hit delete? Is there a faster way?

    In Yahoo Classic:

    1. Click the "Options" link in the upper right of your yahoo mail page.

    2. Click on "General Preferences."

    3. Go to "Messages/results per page and select the highest number (200 maximum.)

    4. Go to the bottom of the page and click the Save" button. At least you can delete 200 at a time this way.

At the top of each page, check the "Sender" box, to place a check mark in all on that page. Go to the top and click the Delete button. You will need to do this with each page, sorry.

set your page up so it can show 200 messages at a time, then click "CHECK ALL". This will select every single email.

Now hit "DELETE" and all 200 messages on the page are gone.

Since you have 6000 messages, unfortunately you will have to do this step 30 times, but that's a LOT better than 6000 times.

If you switch to the new mail all mail is listed in a single scrolling list rather than multiple pages. You can select all and delete all from the single page.
