Find the are of and inscribed plygon.?

A Square ABCD is inscribed in a Circle E and there is 45-45-90 triangle DEF in the square. DE is the hypotnuse and is 8units long, DF is a side and is 4radical2. I need to find the area of the Square ABCD...how do i do it.

    It sounds like F is a midpoint of DC or DA.

    This makes the sides of the square = 8radical2

    and then the area of ABCD is (8radical2)^2.

    A sneaky way is to imagine (or draw) 8 congruent triangles all matching DEF. Then imagine cutting them out and reassembling them to make two squares with sides of 8. So the answer is 128 u^2.
