What question would you like to see vanish from the Horse Section?
If you had the power to banish one question from ever appearing again in the Horse Section what would it be? Just an informal poll here. Saw something similar to this in another section and the answers were very interesting.
I should have said questions LOL. Feel free to post as many as you like. And does anyone notice the "thumbs down" to the people who answered truthfully about some of the most repetative questions posted here? Guess where those came from? My guess is the people who post those types of questions.

Is my horse cute? Everyone thinks cute is different and an Arabian confirmation and look is completely different than a Quarter Horse or Thoroughbred - everyone has their style.
Only the How's My Riding ones where they get all annoyed when you tell them their flaws - you don't want to know, don't ask.
Convince my Parents to Buy me a Horse - I am so with Mulereiner on this one! Sorry about your luck kid, but I didn't get a horse until I bought my own and know plenty of people that weren't even given the chance to have lessons when they were kids - count your blessings.
Then there are the questions where the kids think just because they started when they are 5 or 7 and have been riding for 3 or 4 years or even 9 years, they are experts and want that green horse. Chances are, if you started that young, the first three years was on a push button horse and either way you don't have half the experience you think you have.
Of course the 'I bred my mare and she foaled, what do I do' - or I wanna breed my mare because foals are cute. First - know what you are doing before you breed and call the vet to be on hand if it is your first foal. Second - make sure both your mare and the stallion have something to offer before you breed. Oh, and the backyard stallion questions (ie: My stallion is out of control, what do I do). GELD YOUR HORSE! This is a big part of the reason we have a horse overpopulation problem - irresponsible breeding!

I Hate A Lot Of Them But My Least Favorite One Is "Horse Question?" There All Horse Questions! Thats Why There In The Horse Selection!
- Anonymous1 decade ago
I'm glad you said "questions" because there are quite a few which get a bit old.
1. Howrse questions
2. Name my horse
3. Look at the photo/video clip of my horse or me riding
4. The "Fresh Prince of Belair" thing - how many times have you seen that one? Where does it come from? Brother.
5. Stupid questions like "how do I train my own wild mustang?" or "My horse is severely hurt, should I see a vet?" Honestly, I know that not everyone is an expert, but some things should be common sense. If your horse has been lame for weeks, you probably should get it checked. If you've never trained a single horse before, maybe don't start with a wild mustang.
I'm sure there's more, but that's my main choices.

Am I blocked?
My horse is siiiiiiick, what do I doooooooo?
Any question where the asker says right up front they don't want to hear the obvious but unpleasant answer...why ask in an open forum, then???
The slaughter questions do get old, but at least it's a worthwhile cause and it gives both sides a chance to debate, plead their cause, and everyone can make up their own mind.
As for naming a horse, I still think it would be hilarious to name a horse or mule Naked. Imagine the announcer at the Mule show..."And here comes our winner, Vicky, riding her Mule Naked..."

I was always taught that no question was a stupid question. Asking questions is how you learn. I will say that stupid answers are another thing, and so are smartalec ones. Not that sometimes someone can't make a cute or funny answer not meant to be cutting. An example of bad answers, is once I posted a picture of a horse and my son next to him. Instead of answering the question about the horse, I got quite a few answers about my son's weight. It would be nice if those kinds of answers would disappear, but all this is human nature and will never change. This isn't a perfect world.

well the stupid FAKE ONES!But apparently no one has done that yet
(horse slaughter has stopped and it was a mistake to do that you can look up my question on horse slaughter and see what we should have done)
Edit:Has anyone noticed some little kid is ticked off and putting thumbs down on most people
Edit-hey answerer below me make sure your more specific on the ridden for three years on a push button pony please I know I'm not one of them but still oh and not saying I did ride a push button pony either...well ya for the first few lessons but still :)
Edit:hey I was just wondering would you guys mind if I asked how I look it is important because I might show and I need to know what needs to be fixed that my trainer might not have seen.-seriously

"Is my horse pretty?" - NO! It's got really dodgy conformation, has poor looking legs, hasn't got any muscle at all, an overlarge head, and I'd rather not meet it in a dark alley, thanks very much!
"How's my riding?" - Dreadful! Sit up, leave his mouth alone, and get some lessons, you silly child!
"I need a show name!" - omgz lyk rly?! srsly u shd call (help, what's idiotspeak for "call"?) him SUPERDUPERMODELHORSESPEEDYSTUD!
"My horse's leg is falling off, what should I do?" - I dunno, maybe let him watch TV? Might cheer him up a little. Or call the vet, if you know how to use the phone.
I couldn't possibly pick just one! Have a star :D

Questions about breeding their horse - if you don't know what will corss with what you have then you have no business breeding horses - it takes a lot more than - oh he is pretty - to pick a good stud and even more to know the true quality of your own

I love this question! I hate it when a person asks a question and 10 more people ask the same one! I mean come on! Just go back and read the other 9 users question!
More questions that I hate:
--Is my pony pretty? (stop fishing for compliments!)
--How can I convince my parents to buy me a horse? (pay for it yourself and you'll see why they don't want to get you one)
--What should I name my horse? (Woooow...)
--Isn't *insert sport & event here* cruel??!! (Learn about it more first before judgment.)
